Norman
(Norm to his mates)
has had to change his ways.

Normally his sole 
interest/hobby/pastime/passion
is going to the pub every night
for a heavy drinking session.

But New Norm now obeys the rules
and pursues his love affair with alcohol 
at home.

Mind you, he’s not an alcoholic.
‘I can stop drinking anytime I choose.’
he often says.
