All hands

A guy knocked on the door on Saturday, asking whether we wanted our driveway and decking power-washed. I was hugely relieved when the Minx stepped forward to take control as he seemed like a nice person and generally I have trouble saying "no" to them.

Bill, for that was his name, passed muster apparently as he was scheduled to come back today to do the work. I had a brief internal C19 related wrangle with myself and then I thought, "Well, he's working outside, where's the harm?" And, in fact, we had very little interaction, even as I supplied him with cups of tea.

I have to say, he not only did a splendid job but he did it very quickly, too. By mid-afternoon the drive was cleaned, weeded, and sanded, and the decking had been cleaned and treated. Of course, once he left I started to worry whether the Minx would be as pleased with the results but after a walk around casting a critical eye over his efforts, Bill's work was judged to be good!

Not much else happened today apart from working and taking a walk with Dan. Here's the 'infinity pool' at Underley. Normally the water pours over the lip but it's just a steady stream at the moment.
