Porty-light
It was time for a bit of variety in my life. Early breakfast and then off on the bike to Portobello and back (taking a slightly circuitous route on the back leg). A good workout, demonstrating progress in road cycling stemming from the hours on the static bike (it's worth noting that my right knee hadn't eased sufficiently since the last operation until recently to make cycling a proper pleasure again).
It was another fine morning, but it clouded over later and a westerly wind came up. Mr A sat out again in the morning (he took off his fleece!), and then again in the afternoon, and then we sat out together enjoying a beer after a slightly early close of play was called. At that point, L called from Essex where he was sitting shirtless in the garden (while I had put on a coat to sit on the balcony and eventually had to concede that I was too cold to stay outdoors).
Black pudding pizza for tea. It was an interesting experiment, mainly driven by the availability of certain items in the fridge. And nae bad. The pizza dough was semi-wholemeal, and that worked very well indeed.
And a fascinating documentary on Lee Miller to round off the day.
