Art appreciation

The couple with the baby love the pictures I've edited and sent to them. The moon cakes their mom made for me were terrific. :-) They also complimented my haircut ;-) We chatted briefly from eight feet away. 

There is a woodpecker that wakes me up every morning. It might be annoying but it is a good thing because it keeps me somewhat on rhythm. I think this is the woodpecker I enjoy feeding in the mornings so I have some culpability I'm sure. 

Almost every day I get to see deer. Sometimes at the end of the evening walk, when I've thought I won't see them, they are hanging out behind the houses. Some days they look at me, some days they stare at Samuel. Yet another thing I'm lucky about - Samuel never pays them attention. Once, a billion years ago, he ran off after deer, and then he realized he'd left me behind and came back.
