B&W Vs colour

I met both these chaps this morning on my walk. They were both looking very self assured of their beauty and superiority. Which is better - black and white or colour? Now there's a discussion starter for photographers.

I couldn't resist the extra photo. The colours are glorious and there's a touch of black and white setting them off. I shall so miss the autumn.
