Come Walk with Me on Flower Friday
My morning walks take me past so many beautiful flowers and that makes it difficult to choose. So instead of a macro shot for Flower Friday, I wanted you to climb those steps with me and see how many lovely spots one can seek out, even in the town.
I took another route this morning, leaving at 5.45 am to avoid bumping into other people. Also, I wanted to be down at the supermarket when it opened at 7.30 am. A really good morning: a delicious walk in perfect temperatures, lots of photo opportunities, breakfast, food shopping and around 10 am, an amazing and fabulous huge bouquet of mixed flowers from my son in Canada for Mother's Day which is always the second Sunday in May here in Canada.
What a lucky girl!
I had to look up the name of this beautiful cascading bush, reminding me of Weigelia,. It's called 'Kolkwitzia amabilis'. It gives a beautiful show.
The weather is perfect, but I know a change is coming and the Ice Saints are on there way. They usually bring us a cold snap here in Europe between 11th - 15th May each year. It could rain or snow, but whatever happens, it will be cold! We'll be loosing between 10-13 degrees!
