V for Victory

Today we remember the victory 75 years ago .... too many years ago for me, being a 1947 baby but I can and will join with those tonight who will sing, along with Vera Lynn, 'We'll meet again'.  Wonderful to hear memories of so many who lived through the Second World War.

That wonderful song had pride of place at our end of summer term assembly when we said goodbye to some staff and all Primary 7s who were moving to the senior school. When I was retiring and the song started it was hard not to shed a tear or two.

PS  Thank you to all who gave stars and hearts to my periwinkle. Year 8 has started today.
