VE day

It was really lovely seeing lots of socially distanced front garden parties happening, there was a real sense of community in our village and the neighbouring one we walked to.

I'm always a bit in two minds about some of the things said around remembrance but today it seemed like a national moment of positivity, which can only be a good thing, and any excuse to get the bunting out is always welcome!

I learned that apparently there's a correct way round for the flag to be up and it's important for it to be done right...
