A breath of fragrant air
A rather damp day today with some light rain this morning. I haven't been off the property owing to the trapped nerve problem, so there may well be more 'Flowers around the House' Blips! This is Rhododendron edgeworthii, a rather straggly, but exquisitely scented shrub from forests and cliffs in mountainous regions of India, Bhutan, Burma and China. Not very hardy in the UK, but pretty good on the west coast. Did very well at Arduaine.
Quote of the Day:
Beverley Nichols, 'Green Grows the city - "To be overcome by the fragrance of flowers is a delectable form of defeat."
