Outside the pub on VE Day

My mum sent me this today and I thought it was very poignant and lovely. I’m sure she has show it to me before but I cannot remember. She is the child with the curly hair in her mother’s arms, 6th from the left. Her dad and two sisters are on her left. It seems so ordinary but then makes you shiver down your spine when you think about what they have just been through for the last five years. All they are doing is having a simple drink down the pub to celebrate.
