V E Day 75th Anniversary....... social distancing.
It started with a beautiful morning.
Our usual walk, followed by lunch.
Then a visit from our granddaughters to collect some biscuits I had made for them.
They had walked all the way. Hannah needed a plaster for her blister, and they both needed a drink.
So lovely to see them and have a chat.
I don't think they realise just how much it means to us.
( Mr C had to tell me to keep my distance at one point!)
Then walked round to our neighbours for a celebration " party".
What a fabulous afternoon.
Sat out in the garden , all at a distance! Beautiful sunny weather,
We never stopped talking!
After a couple of hours F. asked if we would all like a pizza, and so she sent for some takeaways.
They tasted delicious. First meal I haven't cooked for 5 weeks!
Drunk too much wine, but only had a few yards to walk back home!
Then had a WhatsApp video call with our friends in Somerset.
More good news. They are getting married.
What a great end to a very memorable day.
Certainly a day to remember.
( Extra taken on our walk.)
