CONCERT IN THE PARK

The local branch of The Lions with the help of our ward councillor and a few volunteers brought the VE celebrations to the park this afternoon....saying park, the car park!
I got them all out on deck chairs, stuck Glen Miller, Al Bowlly & our Vera on a smart speaker and waited for the show to start, we waited, and waited, and waited but finally the entertainment arrived, this young singer (16 today) gave us a selection of wartime favourites which went down well, worth my giving up half of my bank holiday to organise, 30 odd pensioners 6 feet apart, sounds easier than it is.
