I blinked

Sorry for the mushy post, but I want to document my thoughts and feelings today. Tonight oldest took his last exam. It is all finished now and so is high school for him. It really feels like I just blinked and thirteen years of homeschooling is over. I have thought about the hours of teaching him to read or showing him flash cards to work on his multiplication tables. The hours spent working on essays or doing science experiments. It’s all done now, and he is off to uni this fall. He thanked me tonight, and all I could say was, “It was my pleasure.” And it was...I didn’t want to homeschool in the beginning, but now I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am incredibly grateful to God for every minute spent with him. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for him next. I am blessed to be his mom.
