Such a lovely morning in May!

Dear Diary,

So, I woke to snow swirling with gusty winds, more like February than May.  My poor daffodils!  They say that Mother's Day tomorrow will be colder than Christmas was!  High winds too.  I know it won't last once the sun comes out but it is a depressing sight to see on a Saturday morning in May.  I remember when I was very young waking up on my birthday, which is May 17th, to see snow on the apple trees across the road glimmering in the sun.  It lasted just minutes but it was such a magical sight that I remember it 65 years later.
