First Barbecue Of The Year

#2 Daughter sent us a message this morning saying she hoped we had something nice planned. Well what nice plans can you make at a time like this? That got me thinking! 

For weeks, and weeks we've been working on the patio. It has been a mess for some time. We get disheartened every time the garden floods and the patio gets covered in sludge. In these weeks we've removed all the gravel and silt from between the paving stones and we're in the process of washing the stones before we put them back.

Things were finally looking good today so we decided to celebrate by having our first barbecue of the year. Just a shame we have empty seats. This patio has been a place of happiness, down the years, with friends and family gathered around the fire-pit.
