THE PATIENCE PATIENT

Ann spent two hour sitting outside my office this morning awaiting the arrival of the Hospital transport, two hours of her telling me about all her ill's, two hours of cataracts, hearing aids, hip replacements, two hours of illnesses from long long ago. I offered tea, cake, biscuits but all to no avail, she just sat waiting, why she didn't just wait in her apartment until they called I've no idea, older people can be very set in their ways & if they are sent a letter saying that you need to be ready two hours before somethings going to happen then thats it, they'll wait two hours!
