Jeanie died at 12.30 am. She stayed wide awake until her last breath looking at me while I managed to keep on gently chatting to her. She remained calm.
I am so grateful that the care home allowed me to spend her final 5 days at her side.
I phoned my brother, Harry and Selena, and Harry came and donned PPE too for quick sad goodbye. I chose this photo from last summer, for her final clothes, (H and S had brought photo albums for me to share with Jeanie.)
