Random act of kindness

My mate had been shopping for her in-laws and picked up an aubergine for me as she knows I like them. She rang the doorbell, jumped back into the car and drove off before I could answer, but I knew it was from her!

Meanwhile I baked an angel cake for mum, after Googling what that was when she asked for one! Only had green food colouring for the bottom layer though, not yellow as the recipe called for. That would have been boring anyway!
