Not for Crossing

The Three Billy Goats Gruff was a favourite story for enactment when the four year old used to be here for Wednesday childminding. By the time that's possible again a) she will be at school b) the Billy Goats probably won't be flavour of the month any more and c) this wouldn't be a good bridge for a hiding troll in the first place. But it's an entry for the derelict challenge with thanks as always to Marlieske for hosting.

As predicted the temperature has dropped with a brisk northerly wind. We had rain overnight but today is dry and sunny. We walked together round one of the river paths and now we're back home.

I'm about to catch up with my sister and exchange news. Then I have some admin to do and I'll get into the garden to try to protect some of the tender seedlings before tonight's possible frost.

The WM government is being rightly criticised for its meaningless 'stay alert' slogan. The trouble is we don't need slogans we need clear information and advice. We'll be staying home for the foreseeable.
