I've blipped this old cleaner before. It's failed and been resurrected many times but this may be terminal, it just wouldn't run. Investigation eventually led to the motor, the commutator was very badly burned. The motor, not designed to be taken apart, eventually was and the commutator returned to a near normal state. But - the  carbon brushes are useless and replacements are going to be hard to find:-((
