Alpacas
Today miraculously the sun came out so I headed over to Morden Hall Park and Deen City Farm which are near Morden tube and Phipps Bridge tram stop. A lovely part of south west London and well worth a trip.
Today I felt at least 30 years too young in the National Trust cafe. I saw some herons and parakeets in the park. The wetlands are very wet now. At the farm I fed sheep and goats and enjoyed seeing the animals including cows, ducks, chickens of various breeds, turkeys, rabbits, aviary birds, a barn owl, pigs and the alpacas. It always amuses me how many parents don't seem to know what alpacas are and call them llamas. Not as worrying as parents who can't tell the difference between sheep and goats though! Visiting the animals always makes me happy because they always look so happy to see me, even when I haven't bought food for them.
