Nora's 3rd Birthday Party

It was a perfect little gathering outside my brother's house, pandemic be damned! We had delicious cupcakes and ice cream from the local Hornsta Dairy Farm. Nora was delighted and delightful. She loved her gifts and worked on her puzzles immediately on the picnic table.

We had quite a morning, overnight a raccoon got into the cardboard 30 pound box of shelled peanuts we buy for our critters, enough damage for a couple of scoops of peanuts for the effort. The box was outside undergoing the pandemic parcel waiting period. Then, Merry located a baby mouse under a baseboard heating unit and worked at it till she got it out. We rescued it without carnage, but Merry was crushed. Living in an old house with an attached barn...
