On Thursday, NZ will move to Alert Level 2, on a staggered basis.
- May 18th Schools will open to all students
- May 21st Bars can open
- A maximum limit of 10 people for any social gatherings
From this Thursday
- Retail, Malls, Cinemas, Cafes, Restaurants, Businesses, Hairdressers, Playgrounds, Gyms, Domestic travel can resume
- Social distancing and good hygiene must continue
The government will review the situation in 2 weeks and providing numbers of confirmed cases remain low restrictions on social gatherings will increase.
