Sutton Weaver Viaduct

Sutton Weaver Viaduct Was trying to work out what Cheshire railway line was indicated on the raised brick work under the first arch Frodsham side until it hit me in a Simpson Doh ! moment it was roman numerals MDCCCL 1850

The viaduct runs over River Weaver and adjoining land, built 1848-1850, by A Rendel - Engineer and Thomas Brassey - contractor, for Birkenhead, Lancs & Cheshire Junction Railway Co.
It was built using red sandstone, brown brick and cast iron.
2 segmental-arched iron spans of around 30 metres over river; 2 round arches on west bank (Frodsham) and 21 arches on east bank (Sutton Weaver).

Did try to catch the goods train going over the top from the other side but it was too far away and looking up most of the viaduct hid the train.
