View From A Blanket
This afternoon, when I was ready for some time with a book on a blanket, the only spot of shade I could find was under the apple tree. It wasn’t much, since a patio table, bench, and two chairs sit under the tree too.
After awhile, I put the book aside and just gazed up into the locust trees and contemplated my plight, the plight of us all. Hard to stay too bewildered and fed up, with how much simpler this could have been with decent leadership, while birds fly above and trees go from bud to bloom to green and leafy - practically as you watch.
