Standing beside the fire

The last rotten Elderberry and dead Hawthorns have finally been removed from the garden extension site and burned.  It was only 6c this morning when I started the burn so it was a good place to be.  Tomorrow sees the start of levelling, smoothing and landscaping the site ready for  the planting of bushes, perennial grasses and flowering plants.  All we need now is for the nurseries to open.
