The Big Hole.

Lunchtime wander up the lane and around the woods to peer into the ‘The Big Hole’ that is the local quarry. You can just about see some Loughborough landmarks in the distance if you squint or ‘go large’.

I realise that calling it a ‘local quarry’ is rather an understatement given its size and importance but it is local nonetheless.

Plus, you don’t need a watch round these parts to tell when it is lunchtime because everyday at 1230:

BOOM!

They blast out the granite.
