Fragrant lilies ...

... from my wonderful assistant Jeni! I enjoyed our porch sidewalk visit, and am really missing having her here every day.

This 8th week with the children being gone, I’m grieving the loss of time with them. We’re in the final year of this cohort, and the third summer together is always the best. All our routines are in place, we’re outside picking berries, and the new babies for the incoming cohort visit. All of this has been disrupted and I feel the sadness of it.

The extra is the pan of black bean brownies - I was proud that I didn’t eat them all in one day. Most went into the freezer.
