Young and old

Pi's Pacific voyage was swapped today for the splendor of the Karnak Temple. It is an enormous site- almost overwhelmingly so - and was built, rebuilt, added to and generally tinkered with over 1500 years. The result is a smorgasbord of Egyptian architecture.

I stopped for a coffee on the way back to the hotel and got chatting to M who was working in the restaurant. He was talking about the disastrous effect of the revolution on tourism, which is the lifeblood of Luxor, and wished Mubarak was back in power.

Today's blip was a tough choice. I plumped for this image because I just loved these two kids cavorting amongst the ancient columns.
