This Whole World

No snow on the ground, the sun was shining, no wind, but it was -1C when I started my morning walk 5:50. Went to check whether the red-throated divers were on the small lake 2 km away. They were, and this time there were three. The lonesome one had a morning wash while I was watching. It was lying on its back in water while cleaning its tummy (see extra).

It was so peaceful and beautiful, a fantastic retreat from the pandemic world for half an hour. The remains of the mist floated on the calm surface of the lake.
