Horse chestnut

This is the same tree I posted the photo of sticky buds from, back in March near the start of lockdown. So here we are nearly two months on and I just caught the flowers before they go over. Otherwise I spent a lot of the day fixing my bed with the wood glue I got at B&Q. It’s a long and complicated story but basically not a good idea to move such heavy furniture solo. I just hope it holds. It’s ‘clamped’ by tensioning with an old climbing rope round the frame. You just never know when something you’ve kept for decades will come in handy!
