Giant Hogweed was mentioned in the news this morning, in that it was claimed that the fight to eradicate the toxic, dangerous and highly invasive species, may have been lost. The Winter floods down South, have spread the Hogweed seeds throughout those areas that were flooded. It doesn't seed in its first year, but produces a massive seedhead in its second year, with thousands of seeds. If you come across it, don't ever touch it, or risk getting any of its sap upon you.
