Feeling The Warmth

A beautiful evening wandering about in the warm light of the setting sun. At last it feels as though spring has arrived. Trees are beginning to come into leaf and those on this maple seemed to unfurl before my eyes. I managed to place a few leaves in the light against a background in soft shadow.

I'm getting familiar with the narrow depth of field afforded by the 100-400 at full stretch and appreciating the creamy out of focus colour transitions. I'm finding the big lens a lot more comfortable having acquired a tripod foot with a built in arca swiss plate as it no longer flops about. The previous foot was constantly coming loose and was so annoying.
