Botany

Because we can, today I visited a friend who has just moved to the suburb of Botany. Although I've explored near there, I've never been through the Bayside park, through which we walked for over an hour. Captain Cook's landing place (1770) is not far from here and the park has lots of historical references, especially to the botanist Sir Joseph Banks, who accompanied Cook on his voyage.

The picture shows a wetland with a derelict jetty and what I think is a signal tower for aircraft, as this is close to Sydney airport. The extra was taken in a nearby small urban park. The blue of the bench is a theme around here.

Thanks for hosting RDSPhotography. Stay well all and take care through the relaxation.
