Second Poppy

Ok, so we had day after day of bees and hoverflies, now it's poppies. Yes, as predicted yesterday, the second poppy to brave the changeable weather is pink - a very pretty white to red shaded lady she is too. All crisp and tissue paper like, fresh out of the bud.

Where the first one was trashed by the high winds, I suspect this one will find tonight's temperature drop a tad challenging. It's due to drop to 1ºC overnight. Janet and I have been out putting sheets over the veg beds and the beanpoles.

And then tomorrow is a sunny day again, rising to 24ºC by this time next week. I have to resist the temptation to show Morrigan she's still loved...
