The Druid’s Altar

Folklore has it that fairies have been seen atop the oak trees surrounding the Altar but the fact that Altar Lane runs from behind The Brown Cow Inn in Bingley and up past this spot could possibly throw an element of doubt on this! Looks like our pagan forefathers had a liking for a few pints of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord by the sound of it.

The swans on Coppice pond looked to have eight cygnets but unfortunately I had the wrong lens on my camera so a photo wasn’t possible.

Good to get back to St Ives Estate. It was deserted when I arrived at about ten but by half twelve the pond area was quite busy. Looks like all my future visits will be morning visits.
