The Prosecco Palace

Lockdown Day 52

Work's finished for another week and this afternoon I took delivery of a new to me, but second hand wide angle lens which is a 7-14mm (equivalent to a 14-28 mm).  I borrowed one last summer to try out and loved it, but it was out of my price range, so I was very excited to find one for sale on MPB for a good price, and Alan kindly offered to pay half.

As soon as it arrived I headed out for a walk across the fields to try it out, but in no time at all it completely clouded over so I only took a few pics and headed home.    After dinner we went in the Palace for an hour or so, I put on my 'Prosecco socks' that were a present off Elif & Luca (see my extra) and took a bottle of prosecco to use as a prop and asked Alan to take some photos with the new lens.  I'm really pleased with it and think I'm going to have fun with it, and the bonus is that it's in excellent condition.

So my blip tonight is of the Palace - I've never been able to get so much of it in a photo before as it's quite 'compact', and I should add that the bottle wasn't opened as it's only Wednesday and is now back in the fridge for another night.

Poor Bobbie seems to have a problem with his ear again, you may remember he had an ear infection a few weeks ago and the vet gave him some drops.  Well he now seems to have a problem in his other ear - he started acting very clingy on Sunday and was following me everywhere and when I was in the kitchen cooking he was sat right next to me.  Then he'd look at me and bark, which is unlike him, and for a couple of days he's been quite subdued.  However, since last night he's been more lively again, but he's started leaning his head to the right and shaking it.  I looked at his ear and it isn't red or inflamed but when I tried to touch it he yelped, So I called the vets and they got one of the vets to come and talk to me, and after telling her everything she's booked him in for tomorrow morning.    Poor boy!
