Tulip
I had my tulips in two different vases & both had equal water so I'm not sure why one vase full of them still looks pretty good, and the other vase full has lost a lot of petals. Madwill and Kwtracey were both doing black background shots (without an actual black background, both of which were great) & so I wanted to try it. The only thing is that I don't have an off camera flash (& wouldn't know how to work it if I did), so I used Tom's high powered tactical flashlight--it has a much higher amount of light then a regular flashlight--& made the adjustable beam of light as small as it would go & shone it on center of the flower. So Madwill and Katherine, feel free to make some comments &/or suggestions. The tulip kind of reminded me of a woman holding a wrap around her shoulders. Tom & I talked to the girls for a long time this morning, with both we & the girls on speaker phone, as I was making a pasta salad. We also had a nice visit via skype with Toms' sister and brother-in-law, and when we finished we headed over to drop some of the pasta salad off for the girls. I went up the back stairs, set the pasta salad on the porch, knocked, and went halfway down the stairs. Jennie came to the door holding Noelia so I could see her. I talked to Noelia, but she just frowned at me. Jennie talked to her and she looked at her mom with this giant smile--she doesn't know us yet. But Mae made up for it when she heard my voice and ran to the door and said she was so happy to see me and could she have a hug. Oh, that's so hard not to be able to give her one. Came home and I went for my walk. Another beautiful day today. Hope you're all safe and well, and happy hump day. :))
