A man up a tree with a power tool

It was very windy the other night and in the morning l noticed that one of the huge willow trees in the park had split. This is not the first time this tree has had difficulties with another large branch broken off a few years ago; it seems the water gets trapped between the junction of branch and trunk and eventually rots.
Today men were out sawing off lots of branches and we are left with a sad looking sentinel reaching for the sky. I hope it survives.
