The last petals

The pink and white peonies have lasted for six days and now the petals are rapidly falling. I will be buying some new peonies tomorrow.  I do love these generous and beautiful blooms.

This morning, I received my Garden Centre order of flowers which arrived in a deplorable state - broken stems and yellow leaves and I'm not sure that I can recuperate them. Of course, the contact telephone number doesn't answer...

The cold snap continues and there's a cold wind blowing, but at least it isn't raining.

I'm baking a birthday cake this afternoon and tomorrow after supermarket shopping at 7.30 am, I go to the hairdresser's!
