Day 51 - Ride Time

K and I had arranged to go on a wee bike ride out to Brightwater for a coffee, all somewhat dependant on the weather (I've become a real sook when it comes to the weather!)  Needn't have worried though - absolutely stunning weather......dawn-to-dusk sunshine, still and dry.  It's amazing to think we're just 5 week's from mid-winter's day.  I know the 'real' winter will turn up soon but for now this is amazing and I, along with the many, many other people who were out and about today, (including this young lady and her family), am going to continue to enjoy it.

It felt good to be out and about and to be able to go to a cafe for refreshment, though it seemed very noisy.  That may have had more to do with the road works right outside the cafe than with Level 2 though!  First weekend of Level 2 after 7 or so weeks of restriction......the roads and shopping centres may be mayhem over the weekend.

In COVID news today, one more case has been identified but on the positive side, the active cases number has dropped 9 since yesterday to 56 today.
