Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, Normandy, France

Today I am visiting a very moving sculpture called "Les Braves" which was installed on the beach in this small town to commemorate the incredibly brave sacrifice of thousands of Allied troops during World War II who landed here on "Omaha Beach" on D-Day -- June 6, 1944.  A beautiful and powerful tribute.
