broom

Following the example of my Samba Sister Fiona, and the advice of our First Minister, I have decided to start going on some longer bike rides while the roads are still quiet. This afternoon, I rode out along the back roads to Kirkland. I thought I would photograph Maxwelltown Chapel on my way home but There were vans and a JCB parked outside - garden maintenance was being done.

Instead I have blipped, for Flower Friday, the broom which is blooming so beautifully just now. Our local naturalist, Colin, has put these signs along a well-walked route during lockdown, so that we can learn about different plants as we exercise :-)
