Cooking class yesterday, feeding the family today
Yesterday, I took an "Easy Indian" cooking class with my friend, Kim, at Sur La Table. Today, I opened the recipes and went to re-create what we had cooked in class yesterday.
Tonight I am foot sore because we did not have the sous chef that we had at class and I took on all the recipes myself. I was pleased with the results! In fact, it even tasted better out of my home kitchen. Dan always says, "Hunger is the best sauce!"
I learned some nice techniques in class yesterday. "Knife skills" or how to dice an onion with all the same size dice. I also learned how to blanch a tomato so that it peels easily.
So glad that there will be left overs tomorrow!
