Fumaria

Today was nice and the beaches were opened, though one must maintain a safe distance, and remain dynamic (i.e. moving). Slightly later than intended we went for a walk sans attestation for the first time in quite a while. We walked past the Le Dumont D'urville and Le Champlain, a pair of expensive cruise ships berthed in town for the duration. They are pretty impressive up close, but are tiny when compared to the mega cruise liners that most people see.

We're allowed on the ramparts again, so we walked along them to go round town - though not everyone understood that the circulation is clockwise only at the moment. We went to my favourite canned fish shop to stock up and then past the Marie onto the beach.

There were a couple of Police Nationale officers out patrolling and along with someone from the council in a buggy, telling people to keep moving.

We walked home stopping to pick up a rake and a pizza at Lidl - as you do. We had galette and a crêpe for lunch (as normal this is Brittany afterall).

After lunch I took a few pictures in the garden, some were okay, but I like this one best, it's a Fumaria, probably Fumaria capreolata, the white ramping fumitory, which can be quite aggressive and become a pest if you don't control it. Apparently it's member of the Papaveraceae family, though not the floppy poppies. I like the ants hiding underneath, it's fun.

So our release means we can go out as often as we like, for as long as we like and up to 100 km from home. If you go over 100 km from home you need a seriously good reason, visiting family because you miss them isn't good enough. Most shops are open, though there are usually number and space restrictions in place, and mandatory circulation patterns. Bars, restaurants, cinemas remain closed and physical meetings are still restricted, most group sports are banned, but single sports are allowed.
