Coot Family

An afternoon stroll to Queens Park with Robert to see the swans. They were in the larger pond and the cygnets barely visible as they carried piggy back style, deep in feathers of the mother swan, assuming it was the mother. I got a shot but you cant really see anything except the swan so I blipped  the coot nest instead. There are around 5 chicks, of which two were in the water, as in the blip, and some more still in the nest. 
We passed 130 Kenilworth Avenue on the way home and I noticed some typically flamboyant poppies in their garden which is the extra blip. No sign of Islay or her owners.
