Out of the blue

We have an out of control Ceanothus in our garden. We take great enjoyment from its May hue. Storm Dennis nearly blew it away this winter. We will have to prune it when the bloom recedes.

In the morning I took part in a large conference of volunteers, representing our Edinburgh branch. A whole day out in a central Scotland conference centre condensed into two hours from my screen. The new normal. Bad news for the hospitality sector.
