Great Grandfather
Fast forward a few years from Young William posted yesterday and here he is on his 50th birthday.
My brother turned 50 two days ago, he did a five minute visit to our parents window which opens a few inches on a safety lock and they were able to say happy birthday. William was my Dad's favourite man of all time and he spent his summer holidays with him working on the farm during the second world war when he was a young boy, time spent with his Granda Bill and Granny on the farm were the happiest times of his rather turbulent childhood. I am going to take a photograph of my brother in the same pose with similar props, put them side by side on one picture and post to The Nursing Home as a surprise to let them know we are all still here and thinking of them and also a talking point for the staff that are now caring for them. I know it will trigger some interesting stories and happy memories, i'll send in some blue tack the non sticky sticky stuff that sticks, so they can put it up on the wall in their room.
