We took advantage of having a borrowed car to go to Bloomsbury for a stroll. It was quieter than around the flat, presumably because it’s not a residential area. We felt safer walking here than outside the flat.
I was a Ph.D. student here nearly 30 years ago, so we wandered around the British Museum, my old residence and down the delightful Lamb’s Conduit Street. We longingly looked into windows.
We also swung by Trafalgar Square (see extra). The last time I remember being here was for a march saying we didn’t welcome the US President’s visit. By contrast, on this day it was nearly empty. There were no pigeons at all...
It felt good to have one’s boundaries slightly, temporarily, safely expanded.
