Spring Preserved

I found these pressed flowers whilst looking in one of my photography books . I'd not looked at the book for many years and so was pleasantly surprised to find these tucked into its sleeve.

They appear to be primroses and must be at least 7 years old. They are paper thin and very delicate but the colours seem to have been fairly well preserved. I can't recall pressing them but I used to have primroses in my window boxes when living in previous home (in West Linton) so I imagine they might date from then.

A pleasant reminder of past Springs and the promise of the Spring soon to come!
